From New York to Hawaii, Tulsa, and Bali: Walking by Faith, Not by Sight
This time last year, I was balancing the weight of being a full-time Assistant Professor with my purpose-driven work supporting brilliant women of color dissertation scholars. I was squeezing my business into nights, weekends, and “whenever I could find time.” I knew I was called to serve more deeply. I knew there was more. But stepping out on faith? Whew… that part took courage.
Today, I write this from a different place—spiritually, professionally, and geographically. Since saying yes to full-time entrepreneurship, I’ve logged over 23,000 miles:
📍From New York to Hawai'i (5,000+ miles)
📍From New York to Tulsa, Oklahoma (1,300+ miles)
📍From New York to Bali, Indonesia (9,800+ miles)
Each journey stretched me. Not just across time zones, but across comfort zones. Each step I took was a walk in faith—guided by Hebrews 11, a chapter that reminds me that we are called to move without seeing the full picture, to believe before we receive.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1
Every mile has been part of my transformation—physically relocating, spiritually re-rooting, and professionally reimagining how I show up for myself and my community.
And now, I’m inviting you to walk with me.
